The photographs from Locust Tree Road Series (2016) were taken at the house in which my grandparents lived. My grandparents never changed much in the house—it pretty much looked the same my entire life. After they passed, the house sat relatively untouched for a long period of time. To me, the house became a mausoleum. All of their possessions were there, but they were absent. What emotional content remains in people’s possessions after they have passed?
